Nostrification - a strange and not very understandable word
We can already hear a question in your head: "What is this and why do we need it?"
Let's figure it out! Nostrification of a diploma in Slovakia is a process in which the diploma will be recognized at the state level as a document having legal force.
If we speak in simple terms, it is evaluated how much your education corresponds to the standards of Slovak education.
Good news for every applicant, students do not need to take additional exams for nostrification, as for example in the Czech Republic or in other European countries.
Without nostrification, further admission to the university is impossible because a nostrified diploma is a key document for admission to the University
The nostrification process takes on average from 2 to 4 weeks, so take care of solving this issue in advance
This procedure is carried out in the Ministry of Education of Slovakia.
Documents that need to be provided for nostrification:
1. Certificate of complete secondary education with an insert – its certified copy with translation
2. Foreign passport (copy of the first page)
3. Completed questionnaire
4. State fee
